I love approaching comics and illustration from a variety of angles, and would love to work with you whether you're looking to commission artwork or put together a one-of-a-kind event! E-mail me to discuss your project.
I enjoy working on commissions of all shapes and sizes. I strive to bring stylistic adaptability and varied influences to my personal style, so that I can create the mood your project needs. Get in touch for a quote and to chat about your project.
Workshops and teaching:
I offer both basic and more advanced workshops on comics and manga, and am also happy to create a custom workshop, lecture or series for your group based on their needs.
Museum and gallery interpretation:
With their accessibility and their appeal to younger audiences, I feel comics are a fantastic tool for museums and galleries. I'm enthusiastic about work in this area, so do get in touch if you'd like to explore how comics could benefit your institution, or to request samples of gallery projects.
Writing and speaking about comics:
I've presented papers on comics at conferences in England, Scotland and Sweden, and my paper "Drawing the Self" appeared recently in Manga and Philosophy from Open Court Publications. I greatly enjoy both academic and informal opportunities to discuss and investigate!
Events and Exhibitions:
I am always enthusiastic about exhibiting, and have experience with hanging shows. I have also run drop-in drawing events and comics cafes, and am always open to work in this rewarding area.
